Terms of use and legal notice

These terms apply when you use Clotheit. By creating an account you accept them. Please read them; they are short.

1. Legal notice

In accordance with Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI), the owner of this website is:

2. What Clotheit does

You upload a photo of an outfit. Our AI identifies each garment and, where possible, the brand, and shows you products from known brands and retailers where you can buy the same item or similar ones, grouped by price.

• The results are generated automatically and are an estimate. We work to make them as accurate as possible, but we cannot guarantee that a product is exactly the one in the photo, or that a brand has been correctly identified.
• We do not sell any products. When you click a product you go to the store's website. Any purchase is a contract between you and that store, under its conditions, prices, shipping and returns policy.
• Prices and availability come from the stores and can change at any time.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 14 years old (see the privacy policy).
• Give us a real email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• You can close your account at any time by writing to hola@clotheit.com.

4. Plans and searches

• Free: without an account you can do no searches; when you create an account you get 3 searches in total (including any you already did). In each free search you see every piece in the photo and choose one, which we search in depth. You can earn extra free searches by inviting friends: 1 for each friend who signs up with your link, up to 5. If we find nothing for your photo, that search is not counted.
• Piece packs: one-off payments with no subscription and no expiry date: 10 pieces for €2.99, 30 for €5.99 and 80 for €11.99. Each piece you search uses 1, and you can search up to 3 pieces of the outfit at once. If a piece finds no products, it is not counted (within a reasonable daily limit to prevent abuse). Pieces are used after any searches left in your plan.
• Monthly packs: a monthly subscription with 50% more pieces: 15 pieces a month for €2.99, 45 for €5.99 and 120 for €11.99. It renews automatically every month until you cancel it. We email you at least 15 days before each renewal, and you can cancel at any time from your account (menu › Manage subscription), with no commitment: you keep your pieces until the end of the month you paid for. Unused pieces do not carry over to the next month. Each piece you search uses 1, first from your monthly pack and then from any one-off packs. Payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
• First pack: when your free searches run out and you have not bought a pack yet, we may offer you once, for 24 hours, a first pack with more pieces for the same price (20 pieces for €2.99). You will see the price and the number of pieces before you pay.
• How you pay: payments are processed by Stripe (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and, in Spain, Bizum). Clotheit never sees your card details.
• Right of withdrawal: as a consumer in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from a subscription or a pack. When you start using paid searches or pieces, you ask us to start the service immediately; if you withdraw, we will refund the amount proportional to what you have not used. Once all the searches of the period or all the pieces of the pack have been used, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, as permitted by Spanish consumer law (art. 103 m TRLGDCU).
• We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you in advance and you can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

• upload images that are illegal, sexual, violent, or that you do not have the right to use;
• use Clotheit to identify, follow or harass people;
• try to get around the search limits, create fake or automatic accounts (for example to earn invitation searches), copy the results in bulk (scraping) or attack the service.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.

6. Your photos

Your photos remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to analyse them and show you the results and your history. We do not publish them.

7. Brands and intellectual property

The Clotheit name, logo, design and software belong to the owner of the website. Brand names, logos and product images shown in the results belong to their respective owners and are used only to help you identify and find products. Clotheit is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by those brands, unless it says so explicitly.

8. Affiliate links

Some links to stores are affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. See the affiliate disclosure.

9. Liability

We provide Clotheit with care, but "as is": there may be errors in the results or interruptions of the service. We are not responsible for the products, prices, delivery or content of third-party stores. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in an important way, we will let you know before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using Clotheit and cancel your plan.

11. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can go to the courts of your place of residence and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
